Photo Restoration is the process of digitally repairing photographs.
Unfortunately, photos, negatives and slides are all subject to the ravages of time. Creasing, mould, tears, moisture, ultra-violet light etc. all damage your valuable pictures. Colour pictures fade even faster than black and white ones.
Unlike retouch, total restoration is not always possible. We can do a lot to fix even fairly extreme damage, but we can't work miracles. For instance, if the face is torn off or otherwise obliterated, we cannot fix it unless you can supply another (undamaged) photo of that person's face in a similar pose.
If your pictures are looking worn, then it may be time to have some restoration work done right now before it gets any worse. Unlike paper prints or slides (transparencies), digital images don't fade, and you can make as many copies as you want as a backup or to send to your friends and loved ones as momentos for the cost of an email.
Because restoration work is very dependent on the condition of your image, our basic retouch rate and process times cannot apply. Just send in your images to us and we will be happy to tell you if restoration is possible and give you a free quote with no obligations.
